Who is Engineering Discovery?

We are a student-run community service organization at Olin College.

We design and deliver activities that make engineering fun for primary and middle school students.

Engineering Discovery began as a way for undergraduate students at Olin to share our exciting take on education with the next generation of future engineers and scientists.  We're inspired by the college's mission to redefine engineering and its commitment to philanthropy and community service. 

We believe strongly in learning by doing.  Invention and discovery should be encouraged, not stifled in the classroom.  We want kids to have opportunities to sketch, plan, hammer, cut, experiment, build, and launch.  Most importantly, though, we want kids to learn how to turn big dreams into even bigger results and get excited about science, engineering, and problem solving.
